This is an introduction to the management of  the pediatric trauma patient.  This discussion includes mechanisms and patterns of injury, thermal, homeostasis, and social issues.  Also, included is a detailed discussion of the injuries associated with inappropriate use of seat belts in air bags in child not in restraint seats.
